Billionaire Steven Cohen Picks Up These 3 “Strong Buy” Stocks

Last week, the NASDAQ slipped below 13,200, making the net loss from its all-time peak, reached earlier this month, 6.4%. If this trend keeps up, the index will slip into correction territory, a loss of 10% from its peak. So what exactly is going on? At bottom, it’s mixed signals. The COVID-19 pandemic is starting to fade and the economy is starting to reopen – strong positives that should boost markets. But an economic restart brings with it inflationary pressures: more people working means more consumers with money in their pockets, and the massive stimulus bills passed in recent months – and the bill working through Congress now, which totals $1.9 trillion – have put additional funds in people’s wallets and liquidity into the economy. There is pent-up demand out there, and people with money to spend, and both factors will work to push up prices. We can see one effect of all of this in the bond market, where the ten-year Treasury bond is yielding 1.4%, near a one-year high, and it has been trending upwards in recent weeks. This may be a case of jumping the gun, however, as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has said in testimony before the Senate that he is not considering a move to boost interest rates. In other words, these are confusing times. For those feeling lost in all of the stock market fog, investing gurus can offer a sense of clarity. No one more so than billionaire Steven Cohen. Cohen’s investment firm, Point72 Asset Management, relies on a strategy that involves investments in the stock market as well as a more macro approach. This very strategy has cemented Cohen’s status as a highly respected investing powerhouse, with the guru earning $1.4 billion in 2020 thanks to a 16% gain in Point72′s main hedge fund. Bearing this in mind, our focus shifted to Point72's most recent 13F filing, which discloses the stocks the fund snapped up in the fourth quarter. Locking in on three tickers in particular, TipRanks’ database revealed that each has earned a “Strong Buy” analyst consensus and boasts significant upside potential. Array Technologies (ARRY) The first new position is in Array Technologies, a ‘green tech’ company providing tracking technology for large-scale solar energy projects. It’s not enough just to deploy enough photovoltaic solar collection panels to power an energy utility; the panels have to track the sun across the sky, and account for seasonal differences in its path. Array delivers solutions to these problems with its DuraTrack and SmarTrack products. Array boasts that its tracking systems will improve the lifetime efficiency of solar array projects, and that its SmarTrack system can boost energy production by 5% overall. The company clearly has impressed its customers, as it has installations in 30 countries, in more than 900 utility-scale projects. President Biden is expected to take executive actions to boost green economic policy at the expense of the fossil fuel industry, and Array could potentially benefit from this political environment. This company’s stock is new to the markets, having held its IPO in October of last year. The event was described as the ‘first big solar IPO’ in the US for 2020, and it was successful. Shares opened at $22, and closed the day at $36. The company sold 7 million shares, raising $154 million, while another 40.5 million shares were put on the market by Oaktree Capital. Oaktree is the investment manager that had held a majority stake in the company since 2016. Among Array's fans is Steven Cohen. Scooping up 531,589 shares in Q4, Point72's new ARRY position is worth over $19.7 million at current valuation. Guggenheim analyst Shahriar Pourreza also seems to be confident about the company's growth prospects, noting that the stock appears undervalued. “Renewable energy companies have seen a large inflow of capital as a result of the ‘blue wave’ and the Democrats’ control of the White House and both chambers of Congress; however, ARRY continues to trade a significant discount to peers," the 5-star analyst noted. Pourreza added, "We continue to be bullish on ARRY’s growth prospects driven by 1) tracker market share gains over fixed-tilt systems, 2) ARRY market share gains within the tracker industry, 3) ARRY’s large opportunity in the less-penetrated international market, 4) the opportunity to monetize their existing customer base over the longer-term through extended warranties, software upgrades, etc., which are highly margin accretive.” In line with these bullish comments, Pourreza rates ARRY shares a Buy, and his $59 price target implies a 59% upside from current levels. (To watch Pourreza’s track record, click here) New stocks in growth industries tend to attract notice from Wall Street’s pros, and Array has 8 reviews on record since it went public. Of these, 6 are Buys and 2 are Holds, making the consensus rating on the stock a Strong Buy. The average price target, at $53.75, suggests room for ~45% upside in the next 12 months. (See ARRY stock analysis on TipRanks) Paya Holdings (PAYA) The second Cohen pick we're looking at is Paya Holdings, a North American payment processing service. The company offers integrated payment solutions for B2B operations in the education, government, healthcare, non-profit, and utility sectors. Paya boasts over $30 billion in payments processed annually, for over 100,000 customers. In mid-October of last year, Paya completed its move to the public market via a SPAC (special acquisition company) merger with FinTech Acquisition Corporation III. Cohen is standing squarely with the bulls on this one. During Q4, Point72 snapped up 3,288,843 shares, bringing the size of the holding to 4,489,443 shares. After this 365% boost, the value of the position is now ~$54 million. Mark Palmer, 5-star analyst with BTIG, is impressed with Paya’s prospects into the mid-term, writing, “We expect PAYA to generate revenue growth in the high-teens during the next few years, with Integrated Solutions poised to grow in the mid-20s and Payment Services set to grow in the mid-single digits. At the same time, the company’s operating expenses should grow in the 5% context, in our view. As such, we believe PAYA’s adjusted EBITDA growth will be north of 20% during the next few years, and that its adjusted EBITDA margins will expand to 28% by YE21 from 25% in 2019.” Palmer puts an $18 price target on PAYA shares, indicating his confidence in 49% growth for the year ahead, and rates the shares as a Buy. (To watch Palmer’s track record, click here) PAYA’s Strong Buy analyst consensus rating is unanimous, based on 4 Buy-side reviews set in recent weeks. The shares have an average price target of $16, which suggests ~33% upside potential from the current share price of $12.06. (See PAYA stock analysis on TipRanks) Dicerna Pharma (DRNA) Last but not least is Dicerna Pharma, a clinical stage biotech company with a focus on the discovery, research and development of treatments based on its RNA interference (RNAi) technology platform. The company has 4 drug candidates in various stages of clinical trials and another 6 in pre-clinical studies. The company's pipeline clearly got Steven Cohen’s attention – to the tune of taking a new stake totaling 2.366 million shares. This holding is worth $63.8 million at current values. The drug candidate farthest along Dicerna’s pipeline is nedosiran (DCR-PHXC), which is being investigated as a treatment for PH, or primary hyperoxaluria – a group of several genetic disorders that cause life-threatening kidney disorders through overproduction of oxalate. Nedosiran inhibits the enzyme that causes this overproduction, and is in a Phase 3 trial. Top-line results are expected in mid-’21 and, if everything goes as planned, an NDA filing for nedosiran is anticipate near the end of 3Q21. Covering the stock for Leerink, analyst Mani Foroohar sees nedosiran as the key to the company’s near-term future. “We expect nedosiran could see approval in mid-2022, placing the drug roughly a year and a half behind competitor Oxlumo (ALNY, MP) in PH1... A successful outcome will transform DRNA into a commercial rare disease company in an attractive duopoly market with best-in-class breadth of label," Foroohar noted. To this end, Foroohar rates DRNA an Outperform (i.e. Buy), and his price target of $45 suggests a one-year upside potential of 66%. (To watch Foroohar’s track record, click here) All in all, Dicerna Pharma has 4 Buy reviews on record, making the Strong Buy unanimous. DRNA shares are trading for $26.98, and their $38 average price target puts the upside at ~41% over the next 12 months. Maine Honda Dealers Support Local Lunch Programs - PRNewswire

pret.indah.link

PORTLAND, Maine, March 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- The Maine Honda Dealers Association (MHDA) is supporting six local schools with donations intended to improve lunch programs. This mission was built upon American Honda's campaign to assist communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With COVID-19 causing the suspension of in-person learning, food resources remain a concern for many families with schoolchildren. According to nokidhungry.org, one in four children could face hunger due to the pandemic. In Maine, 173,080 people are struggling with hunger, and 47,460 of them are children. The MHDA is committed to giving back to school lunch programs that are in deficit as a result of COVID-19. The six dealerships within the association have each chosen a local school to donate $1,000 to its lunch program.

Connor Archer of The Green House Village Preschool says of the donation, "This generous contribution by Darling's Honda on behalf of Maine Honda Dealers will be used to support our Green House Village Preschool Educational Programming Opportunities. This donation will help us to provide more affordable and equal opportunities for children during these unprecedented times."

Lee Honda, a dealership within the MHDA, has donated $1,500 to Auburn Public Schools over the past nine months. Bill Menke, General Manager at Lee Auto Malls, states that the dealership is proud to honor its community in this way. He says supporting school lunch programs is especially important in these times and that Lee Honda is committed to advocating for the elimination of hunger.

Chris Piercey, School Nutrition Director at the Auburn School Department, says, "I can tell you that the generous donation from Lee Honda will be used to assist us keeping anyone eighteen and under in need of meals inside and outside of school fed. The donation further demonstrates the kind of community existing here in Auburn."

The association has a strong commitment to support and serve local communities. The MHDA have previously worked with Feed Maine, donating $441,623 in 2018 and 2019. Honda, KTM, Piaggio, and Yamaha Sign E-Motorcycle Battery Agreement - UltimateMotorcycling.com

Get ready for the Swappable Batteries Consortium for Motorcycles and Light Electric Vehicles made up of Honda, KTM, Piaggio, and Yamaha. The goal is to develop standardized swappable batteries for motorcycles, mopeds, trikes, and ATVs.

The Swappable Batteries Consortium for Motorcycles and Light Electric Vehicles will work with various standardization bodies for Europe, individual countries, and global organizations. This way, the new organization can create international technical standards that will benefit its members’ products.

E-Motorcycle Battery Agreement: Honda's Noriaki Abe
Noriaki Abe, Managing Officer, Motorcycle Operations, Honda Motor Co.

“The worldwide electrification effort to reduce CO2 on a global scale is accelerating, especially in Europe,” Noriaki Abe, Managing Officer, Motorcycle Operations, Honda Motor Co., noted. “For the widespread adoption of electric motorcycles, problems such as travel distance and charging times need to be addressed, and swappable batteries are a promising solution. Considering customer convenience, standardization of swappable batteries and wide adoption of battery systems is vital, which is why the four-member manufacturers agreed to form the Consortium. Honda views improving the customers’ usage environment as an area to explore cooperation with other manufacturers, while bringing better products and services to customers through competition. Honda will work hard on both fronts to be the ‘chosen’ manufacturer for customer mobility.”

The Swappable Batteries Consortium for Motorcycles and Light Electric Vehicles will get underway in May, and is encouraging other manufacturers to join in. With the current range and charging times of electric motorcycles, activities such as cross-country motorcycle touring is impractical via electric power. However, if batteries can be hot-swapped at convenient locations, it may not take much more time to change batteries than fill a fuel tank.

At the current time, none of the four motorcycle companies in the Swappable Batteries Consortium for Motorcycles and Light Electric Vehicles offer electric-powered motorcycles in the United States. This cooperation between Honda, KTM, Piaggio, and Yamaha may accelerate the appearance of electric-powered motorcycles from those four companies.

2023 Honda CR-V Spied For The First Time, Looks Bigger - Motor1

pret.indah.link

The fifth-generation Honda CR-V was unveiled towards the end of 2016 and got a facelift about three years later. Fast forward to March 2021, our spies have put their extra-long telephoto lens to good use by catching on camera from afar a prototype of the new crossover while undergoing handling tests at a facility somewhere in Europe.

With this being only our first look at the sixth-gen CR-V, it's no wonder the prototype is covered in camouflage from front to rear. That said, we can't help but notice the crossover seems to have grown in size while the front and rear overhangs continue to be quite large. The overall design appears to be more angular and the hood seems longer and flatter than before.

The front end reveals a slightly bigger grille with a new pattern and is flanked by sharper LED headlights that seem to give the impression of a split design. That said, the front lights likely have a one-piece layout as we’re tempted to believe the divided setup is only because of the disguise applied across that wide strip.

Eagle-eyed readers will notice the side mirrors now sit lower on the doors rather than at the base of the A-pillars, presumably to reduce wind noise and/or better aerodynamics. A prominent character line above the door handles extends almost the entire side profile of the CR-V, from the headlights to the taillights. Those exposed side orange markers indicate Honda was testing a US-spec version.

2023 Honda CR-V spy photo profile

2023 Honda CR-V prototype

2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring profile

2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid

The side angle not only illustrates the bump in size – emphasized by the bigger quarter glass – but it also allows us to take a peek inside the cabin where the dashboard has a tablet-styled infotainment on top of the center console. The touchscreen sits upright as opposed to the current CR-V where the infotainment is slightly angled and rests on the center console.

It'll be interesting to see whether the growth inside will prompt Honda to accommodate a third row or the Pilot will remain the firm's only SUV in the United States to offer seven seats. Side note – the current CR-V is already offered in some markets with a third row but the US-spec model is available exclusively with five seats.

Either the disguise is playing tricks on us, but the prototype lacks the vertical lights of the current CR-V. However, we'd be willing to bet those are still there considering all generations of the popular compact crossover have this taillight layout in common, starting with the original 1996 model.

Depending on the market, the current Honda CR-V is already offered with hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains, so look for the next-generation model to embrace electrification furthermore. It's too early to say whether Honda has plans for a version without the combustion engine, but even if that's the case, it won’t be available from day one.

Since this is our first batch of spy shots, it likely means an official reveal of the new CR-V won't take place anytime soon. It could debut in 2022 and go on sale in North America as a 2023MY.

Honda Classic: Defending champion Sungjae Im, Lee Westwood commit to 2021 tournament - Palm Beach Post

pret.indah.link
Special to The Post  |  Palm Beach Post

The Honda Classic added a couple of prominent golfers to the 2021 field on Sunday.

Sungjae Im, a South Korean who won the 2020 Honda Classic with two massive birdies down the stretch during the final round, and Englishman Lee Westwood, the winner of last year's Race to Dubai as the top player on the European Tour, have committed to play in this year's tournament at PGA National on March 18-21.

Im, the 17th-ranked player in the world, and Westwood, 37th, join a field that already includes three of the last four winners on the PGA Tour - Waste Management Phoenix Open champion Brooks Koepka, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am champion Daniel Berger and Genesis Invitational champion Max Homa.

More: Kamaiu Johnson continues to inspire young Black golfers with exemption into Honda Classic

More: D'Angelo: Daniel Berger no longer should be overlooked when it comes to the area’s PGA royalty

The two International players lead a foreign contingent that also includes 2005 and 2015 Honda Classic champion and European Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington, fellow Irishman Shane Lowry, Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell, Englishmen Ian Poulter and Luke Donald and Swede Henrik Stenson,

Im began the final round at Honda last year three strokes out of the lead, but made birdies on four of his first five holes. The middle of his round included three bogeys and a birdie, so Im was one off the lead as he arrived at the Bear Trap.

That's where he hit precision irons to exactly 7 feet, 10 inches at both the par-3 15th and par-3 17th holes to set up the makeable birdie putts he drained. An up-and-down for par from the front bunker at No. 18 ended up being the difference.

"I've been in this spot many times. ... I just felt like the experience really helped," Im said.

Westwood clinched the Race to Dubai title to end the 2020 season as the European Tour’s No. 1 player for the third time.

Westwood got his 2020 momentum going at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which he won in January, and then finished fourth two months later at The Honda Classic. He was second in the Race to Dubai standings behind Patrick Reed heading into the DP World Tour Championship in December and claimed the Race to Dubai by leapfrogging Reed down the stretch.

“It’s difficult to take it all in right now,” Westwood said. “Obviously, it’s been a bizarre year for so many reasons. The combination of it all here, it was a great finish. It was an exciting finish to the year, it’s really hard to quantify.”

The Honda Classic has released a limited allotment of tickets for public sale as it welcomes a reduced number of fans to this year’s tournament due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
