Four people were injured in a vehicle collision Wednesday morning on the East Hill in Kent after a short police pursuit of a reported stolen Honda CRV that flipped and struck another occupied vehicle at the intersection of 132nd Avenue Southeast and Kent Kangley Road.
Two men in their 20s and one man in his 40s were in the stolen vehicle, according to a Kent Police Facebook post. Paramedics transported all three men to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with significant injuries. One man was ejected from the vehicle upon impact.
Officers at about 7:59 a.m. attempted to stop a Honda CRV with no license plates that was reported stolen out of Auburn. The driver refused to stop, and officers successfully deployed spike strips about two minutes into the pursuit as the vehicle headed southbound on 132nd Avenue Southeast. The driver attempted to turn onto Kent Kangley Road and flipped the vehicle in the intersection, striking another vehicle, according to police.
Paramedics transported the driver of the struck vehicle to Valley Medical Center in Renton with non-life-threatening injuries. The two remaining occupants of the stolen vehicle were unable to exit on their own and were assisted by officers.
