The rendering clearly takes inspiration from the Honda Insight, which is a hybrid sedan. This 2022 HR-V borrows the front fascia, headlights, grille, taillights, and wheel pattern from its hybrid sibling and even tosses in a Toyota-inspired black roof for some additional sporty flavor. The Insight is already a very attractive vehicle so its design elements translate rather well on a crossover.
No powertrain specifications were given with the rendering but we assume it would borrow the engine and hybrid system from the Insight. It wouldn't be a massive power increased but the Insight's 1.5-liter gas engine and electric motors combine to produce 151 hp, around 10 hp more than the current HR-V.
