Key Highlights

  • Yamaha MT-15 limited edition gets a cyan blue with yellow paint scheme
  • It gets inverted forks with mono shock and aluminium swingarm
  • Yamaha MT-15 limited edition model costs ฿98,500 ( ₹2.32 lakh )

Yamaha has taken the wraps off a limited edition model of MT-15 motorcycle. This bike gets a special, vibrant colour scheme which sets it apart from standard MT-15. The limited-edition model gets no mechanical changes or additional features, which is a good thing for many of us. We say so because the limited edition model has been revealed in Thailand and is likely to make its way to many Asian countries except ours. This means that we will have to continue using the India-spec MT-15 which is already not as well equipped as its international siblings. Considering this, it would have been a little painful for us if the Thai-spec MT-15 were to become even better.

Yamaha MT-15 limited edition model gets a Cyan Blue base paint contrasted with a yellow finish for the alloy wheels and gold anodized finish for the front forks. As before, the colour scheme is offset by the use of black colour for side panels, headlamp cowl, belly pan, and the exhaust pipe.

Powering this limited edition MT-15 is a 155 cc, water-cooled engine that puts out 18 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque. This engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox with Assist and Slipper clutch. As mentioned before, the Thailand-spec Yamaha MT-15 is better equipped than the one on sale in India. It gets upside-down forks with mono shock and aluminium swingarm as opposed to telescopic forks and mono shock on the India-spec Yamaha MT-15

But this impressive equipment does bump the price by a substantial margin. Yamaha MT-15 limited edition model gets a price tag of ฿98,500, which is equivalent to ₹2.32 lakh. This is quite a price difference as compared to India-spec MT-15 which retails at ₹1.39 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
