BRECKSVILLE, Ohio
Grand theft, Chapel Hill Oval: On July 18, a Chapel Hill Oval resident called police after discovering his black 2016 Honda Pilot was stolen out of his driveway.
The resident said his family had just returned from vacation. They unpacked the Pilot and parked it in the driveway.
The owner said he not only left the Pilot unlocked, but mistakenly left the Honda’s keys inside of the vehicle. Items stolen from inside of the vehicle included golf clubs, golf shoes, jumper cables a car seat and tennis racket valued at $2,000.
The officer checked with neighbor’s security camera doorbell, but there was no evidence of the crime. Police are investigating.
Vandalism, Riverview Road: On July 18, a Riverview Road resident came to the police station to report his neighbor’s political signs had been vandalized.
An arriving officer located the sign, which was burned with spray-painted expletives. There were also expletives spray painted on the road, a water meter and a campaign flag.
There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
