Kimberly Greathouse and her son Lance Stevenson were gifted a new family car Friday afternoon by the staff at Underriner Honda as part of an annual Underriner tradition.
Greathouse was nominated for the giveaway by her coworkers at Ultra Graphics and was chosen by Underriner staff as the most-deserving candidate on Monday.
"I couldn't stop balling," she said about receiving the news she would soon have a new car. "There are no words that can express my gratitude."
Greathouse said she was thrilled to be done borrowing a friend's car to get to work, but that "the little things" of having a reliable vehicle, as small as being able to go through the drive-thru, were just as important.
On top of everything, Greathouse said she now has a good car to teach Lance — who just got his learner's permit — how to drive.
"I was thinking of having him drive it off the lot, but then I got nervous, " she said, laughing. "Maybe we'll have to take a vote to see who gets to drive."
