COVID-19 has cancelled many events, but the 18th Annual Outdoorsman’s Bonanza will not be one of them.
Tickets, priced at $100 each, are on sale for the March 27 event. Only 3,900 tickets will be sold.
Joy Almond, main street manager for the city of Albemarle and director of Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation, said the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza will happen virtually or in-person, depending on COVID restrictions.
If restrictions are lifted, the event will happen at Market Station in downtown Albemarle. Otherwise, it will be virtual like last year, said Almond, who is entering her fifth year of promoting the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza.
The top prizes include a 2021 Chevrolet Crew Cab Silverado RST, a 2021 Honda Civic LX 4-door Sedan, a 2021 Honda TRX 420 TM, a 2021 Tracker Marine Pro, a Trail Runner Travel Trailer and more.
An early bird drawing will also include prizes of a John Deere Gator, two $3,000 prizes and nine $1,000 prizes. The deadline for that drawing is Feb. 14.
Almond spoke highly of the prize donors and sponsors.
“They are really an outstanding group to work with,” Almond said.
