GLENVILLE, N.Y. — Mohawk Honda has announced the promotion of Greg Johnson to Assistant General Manager. He has 18 years of experience in the automotive industry and eight years with Mohawk Honda at the Glenville location. Johnson will continue to advance one of the leading dealerships in the Capital Region.
Johnson will work alongside Mohawk Honda General Manager Andy Guelcher. Guelcher, who is also Dealer Principal at Mohawk Chevrolet, says Johnson’s skills will help Mohawk Honda continue to grow and exceed its customers’ expectations.
As Johnson transitions into a leadership role in Glenville, Guelcher will continue to oversee Mohawk Chevrolet’s massive expansion and relocation as it completes work on its new Malta, N.Y. dealership, expected to open in 2021.
“As we continue to grow, we need to rely on those who know the ins and outs of the company and Greg is definitely one of them,” said Jeff Haraden, president of Mohawk Honda and Mohawk Chevrolet. “He has shown incredible dedication whether it is hitting our sales goals or increasing our commitment to the community.”
“We believe that when you have good people, you promote from within and support them personally and professionally,” said Guelcher. “Greg is the right man for the job, and I cannot wait to see what he accomplishes in this new role.”
This announcement comes as Mohawk Honda was named an Automotive News 2020 “Best Dealership To Work For,” which ranks it among the Top 100 dealerships nationwide.

Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Siena College. He was born and raised in Glenville, and currently resides in Burnt Hills with his wife and two children.
