Yamaha Motor India today reported a rise of 53.57 per cent in domestic wholesales to 55,151 units in January 2021. The two-wheeler manufacturer had sold 35,913 units in the domestic market in January 2020.
At present, Yamaha Motor India's product portfolio includes scooters like the Fascino 125 Fi, RayZR 125 Fi and RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi. It sells motorcycles like the R15 Version 3.0, MT-15, FZ FI, FZS FI Version 3.0, FZ 25 and FZS 25.
Yamaha Motor India had witnessed a year-on-year growth in its domestic wholesales for six consecutive months from July till December in 2020.
The domestic wholesales of the two-wheeler manufacturer had jumped 4.32 per cent in July 2020, 14.8 per cent in August 2020, 17.36 per cent in September 2020, 30.58 per cent in October 2020, 35.02 per cent in November 2020 and 33.02 per cent in December 2020.
"Yamaha's recently introduced 'Connect X' application enabled with Bluetooth technology for its motorcycles, the 'Customize Your Warrior' campaign that supports a wide range of colour variants in the MT-15, the online shopping experiences like virtual Yamaha store or the Yamaha accessories and apparels availability on Amazon, have received an overwhelming response from the customers," the company said.
Yamaha Motor India has also announced the 'Test Ride My Yamaha' campaign to reach out to more customers and make them aware about the new technology and safety features like 'stop and start system', 'smart motor generator' and 'side stand engine cut-off switch', in its scooters.
