New 2021 Yamaha FZ-X spy shots emerge
At this point, it is not news that Yamaha is working on a new FZ motorcycle for India. The upcoming bike in India, Yamaha FZ-X, is still under development at the moment, but our dear internet sleuths have managed to get their hands on the first image of a unit that appears to either be production-ready or at least close to it. Sure enough, we have seen other spy pictures of the upcoming Yamaha bike, but they were of prototypes -- this one, as noted above, seems it is ready to hit the production line or at least sooner than we would imagine. Now, on to what we have managed to learn from the new Yamaha FZ X images.
From what we can see, Yamaha FZ X will come equipped with a circular LED headlamp, a different bodywork rounded off by a rather typical-looking fuel tank. Other than that, we also spotted a boomerang-shaped radiator guard, fork gaiters on the telescopic forks, and dual-purpose tyres among other things. Besides that, we also know the upcoming bike in India will feature modern-retro styling, a single-piece seat, sleek turn indicators, alloy wheels, an upswept exhaust, a digital instrument cluster, etc.

Finally the engine; we reported a few days ago that the 2021 Yamaha FZ X's specifications were revealed in the homologation approval document for the bike. According to said document, the Yamaha FZ X will borrow the Yamaha FZ's engine, i.e. a 149cc, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power output of 12 bhp at 7,500 rpm.
