Yamaha officially launched the new FZ-X retro style motorcycle in India. Reservations have started at company dealers even before the bicycles are on display. The price starts from Rs.1,16,800 for FZ-X without Bluetooth, and the price of the model with Bluetooth connection is Rs1,19,800.
The new FZ-X, available in three color options: metallic blue, matte black, and matte copper, has a lot of features. However, the company has just introduced a range of accessories for buyers who want to make it a little more accessory.

The range of official accessories includes Rs.300 priced seat covers and Rs tank pads and bicycle covers. 400 each. Buyers can also choose a chrome-finished rearview mirror for 800 rupees, an LED indicator for 1,490 rupees per pair, a rear foot peg for 400 rupees and an engine guard for 800 rupees.
Seat covers and bike covers protect the vehicle from heat and dust damage, especially during the monsoon season. The tank pad protects the tank from damage and gives the rider a better grip on the bike. The chrome-finished rear-view mirror adds more aesthetic appeal while enhancing visibility with LED indicators. The pillion rider is more comfortable thanks to the rear footrests and the engine guard protects against damage and minor collisions.
Key features found in the new Yamaha FZ-X include LED head and tail lamps, digital instrument clusters, Bluetooth connectivity with Yamaha ConnectX mobile applications (top spec variant), and upsweep exhaust. It also features flat and comfortable seats, mobile charging sockets and alloy wheels with block patent tires. Thanks to the engine switch kill on the side stand, if the rider forgets to fold the side stand of the motorcycle, the FZ-X will not start.
The main highlight of the Yamaha FZ-X is its instrument cluster. This LCD unit comes with a Bluetooth connection to provide information about incoming calls, SMS alerts, battery levels, engine oil checks, bicycle locators, tachometers and show malfunction information.
Engine specs, suspension, brakes
The Yamaha FZ-X is larger than the FZ-FI, which shares an engine. The wheelbase is 1,330 mm, overall length 2,020 mm, overall width 785 mm, and overall height 1,115 mm.
The new Yamaha FZ-X rents an engine lineup from the FZ-FI series. This 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine produces 12hp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm of torque at 5,500rpm in combination with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. A conventional telescopic fork is used on the front and monochrome that can be adjusted in 7 steps on the rear, and braking with disc brakes of 282 mm on the front and 220 mm on the rear is standard equipment.
With the Yamaha FZ-X now available for pre-order, the company also announced that the first 200 buyers will receive Yamaha’s original Casio G-Shock watches. Buyers can contact their nearest Yamaha retailer to make a reservation or place an order from the Yamaha online sales portal.
