Yamaha NMAX is an extremely popular range of maxi scooters in several international markets, including Brazil where Yamaha has launched a special model of the scooter. The Japanese brand has launched NMAX 160 Star Wars edition in the South American country. The Star Wars edition is available in two variants -- Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire, both of which get different Star Wars inspired liveries. The Rebel Alliance variant comes with Luke Skywalker's spacecraft livery with a white base colour contrasted by red and golden accents. The side panels of the NMAX Rebel Alliance model also gets 'Special Edition' written in the Aurebesh script that was used in the Star Wars saga. The graphics on the maxi-scooter get a worn-out effect to highlight the damage to the X-Wing spacecraft in the franchise.
Yamaha NMAX 160 Galactic Empire variant, on the other hand, gets a livery inspired by the Tie Fighter and features ship's lines. The scooter gets a black colour scheme with silver and red accents. And just like Rebel Alliance variant, the NMAX 160 Galactic Empire variant has 'Special Edition' written in Aurebesh script on the side panels. The Japanese brand will sell only 680 units of NMAX 160 Star Wars edition (340 of each variant) and all the units have already been booked.
Yamaha NMAX 160 maxi-scooter is available with a 155 cc liquid-cooled engine that puts out 15 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque. The scooter gets front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS while suspension duties are tended to by telescopic forks with twin rear shock absorbers.
