Yamaha’s U.S. marine division announced several personnel appointments for business units in development, accessories and supply-chain management.

Jonathon Burns was named general manager of Yamaha’s U.S. marine development and business planning division. He will be tasked with developing next-generation systems and building synergy with customers and dealers. Burns had previously served as general manager of Yamaha Marine Precision Propellers, where he led the development a new foundry in Greenfield, Ind.

Ben Mallett was named general manager of Bennett Marine, the trim tab manufacturer that Yamaha acquired in 2017. Mallett joined Yamaha in 2006 as Southeast sales coordinator for marine dealer sales.

Scott Higgins, who started with Yamaha in 2003 as a regional sales coordinator, was named division manager of marine supply-chain management. Higgins had served as Yamaha’s regional sales manager for outboard dealer sales since 2014.
